Two dates

The gap
End minus start leaves the start date out.
Both ends
The inclusive count adds the start back in, and weekdays are counted.
Calendar difference
difference = later − earlier, in calendar days
| difference | End minus start. Same date is 0. |
|---|---|
| inclusive | Difference plus one, counting both dates. Same date is 1. |
| weekdays | Mondays through Fridays inside the inclusive span. |
A stay that begins on 1 May and ends on 4 May is a difference of 3 days and an inclusive count of 4 dates.
Order does not matter. If the first date is later, the tool still reports the span and says which date came first.
Weekdays ignore public holidays. The working-days calculator subtracts a holiday count you type. To land on a date a known number of days away, use days from today.
Loading an example fills the tool and scrolls you back to the result. Money examples stay in US dollars on the page. The symbol you picked changes; the numbers do not convert.
