Questions

What is the EPF interest rate now?

8.25% for FY 2025-26, the same as the two years before it.

Why is the employer share smaller than mine?

Of the employer's 12%, up to ₹1,250 a month goes to the Employees' Pension Scheme, not your EPF balance.

Is the EPF maturity tax-free?

Yes, after 5 years of continuous service, apart from interest on contributions above the yearly limit.
