About this hub
US finance on this site is in dollars and follows federal 2026 tables where a year matters: paycheck withholding, FICA wage bases and IRS 401(k) limits. State income tax uses each state's own brackets from the paycheck pages.
Start with take-home pay if you have an offer letter, then Roth vs traditional if you are choosing a 401(k), then the mortgage tools if you are buying or refinancing. Sales tax and overtime sit with everyday pay questions. There is no Social Security estimator or student-loan payoff tool here on purpose.

Questions
Which US tool should I open first?
Use take-home pay for an offer, the state comparer if you are choosing where to live or work remotely, and traditional vs Roth when you are allocating 401(k) contributions.
Do the state paycheck pages include city tax?
New York and a few other pages note local taxes in the copy, but the numbers are state + federal + FICA only unless the page says otherwise.
Where are the IRS 401(k) limits?
The traditional vs Roth calculator uses the 2026 elective deferral and catch-up limits from the IRS and names that year on the page.
